Hoyo De Monterrey Hoyo De Tradicion

Hoyo De Tradicion
(Baby Review)
I usually don’t smoke, just to smoke, but I wanted a cigar tonight along with the soft rain and this rare warm night. There’s something about the rain, maybe it’s the sound, but its really relaxing to me. Along with that, there’s no better time then the night. I guess that’s the Batman in me.
Without thinking about a review I decide to grab a stogie. I open up the “koolidor” grab the first cigar I see and it’s the Hoyo De Tradicion. I haven’t heard anything good or bad about this cigar, but I didn’t care. I was smoking to relax and to enjoy my night and nothing else.
The Hoyo De Tradicion comes from Honduras and has a blend of Nicaraguan, Dominican and Honduran tobacco. The vitola was a box pressed Toro with a nice tan looking wrapper. The flavors I got are bits of pepper, little woodiness and plenty of creamy nuttiness.
Not expecting anything, I ended up smoking a pretty good cigar. There’s not much flavor, but what you do get, is good enough to enjoy. Yes, its kind of one dimensional. Yes, it’s a little to mild, but you do get an excellent construction cigar and a relaxing smoke that delivers a nice balance of nuttiness.
Don’t smoke this cigar if your looking for something fantastic, but if your looking to relax and if you are a fan of nutty cigars, this one should hit the spot.

- Baby Review: A Baby Review is a quick and short version of my regular review. There will be no final grades on a Baby Review, that’s for you to decided. Happy Smokin’!
